Did you know the first Palm Sunday was predicted, to the very date, 483 years earlier?
Did you know there’s proof this prediction was in writing about 300 years earlier?
Did you know secular history confirms this amazing prediction?
Let me tell you about it. There was a guy named Daniel who says he had a conversation with a someone named Gabriel who was a courier bringing a message of extraterrestrial/ extra dimensional origin, from YHWH. You see, one of the ways YHWH proves Himself is by telling of history before it happens. He says in Isiah 46
“8¶“Remember this, and be assured;
Recall it to mind, you transgressors.
9“Remember the former things long past,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,
10Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done,
Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;
11Calling a bird of prey from the east,
The man of My purpose from a far country.
Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass.
I have planned it, surely I will do it.”
Now Daniel was from a city that had been destroyed out about 70 years earlier and he was told that from the order to rebuild the city to the coming of the much anticipated “Mashiach Nagid” (Messiah the King) would be 69 7 year periods. Secular history says the order to rebuild Jerusalem came from the Pursian king Artaxerxes Longimanus on March 14th 445 b.c. In ancient times a year was figured using a lunar cycle so a year was 360 days long. If we convert this lunar calendar into our Gregorian reckoning it would look something like this;
69 7 year periods equals 483 years.
483 years × 360 =173,880 days.
March 14th, 445 B.C. to March 14th, 32 A.D. is 476 years.
(1 B.C. to 1 A.D. is one year, There is no year zero)
476 years x 365 days per year = 173,740 days
Add for leap years = 116 days (Leap years do not occur in century years unless divisible by 400 [therefore, we must add three less leap years in four centuries])
March 14th to April 6 th = 24 days
total = 173,880
This is the only day Jesus declared himself to be the Messiah, the King. Every time before this He said His time had not yet come. But on this day the people were yelling out praise saying “Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” (Luke 19:38)
The very day!!
Predicted so many years earlier!!
Later in the conversation Daniel was told by Gabriel that the Messiah would be “cut off, but not for Himself” predicting Jesus’s death for us.
To make this even more astounding Gabriel says “the people of the Prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary” predicting the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 a. d.
Jesus confirmed this when, on this very day, he cried over Jerusalem saying “If you had only known on this, your day, what would bring you peace- but now it’s hidden from your eyes. The day will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, ou and your children within your walls. They will not leave one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the day of God’s coming to you” (Luke 19: 42-44) The people were expecting a military king who would overthrow Rome and restore their national sovereignty. They didn’t understand their own scriptures and Jesus held them accountable.
Daniel and many others, including Jesus himself, predicted that He will return. This time He will be a conquering king. His real thrown will be in Jerusalem. Will He hold us accountable?
Will He expect us to know and understand the scriptures?
